When my kids started playing AYSO soccer I volunteered to stripe the fields for the games. Once I got that paint striper and paint in my hands I couldnt just stick to straight white lines.

My first try. At the time the lettering was an after thought. I thoughtI had really accomplished something just painting the ball. lol. And now the lettering is such a big part of it.
